Elton's FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD concerts 2020:
Goodbye Australia and New Zealand (almost), hello North America and Europe!
Elton has one more Australia (March 7) and two re-scheduled New Zealand shows yet to go after spending 3 months "down under." The shows got monster good reviews and aside from a storm blowing and hailing them off the stage during "Funeral For A Friend" in Australia and Elton near-collapsing with walking pneumonia after "Funeral For A Friend" in New Zealand the tour appeared to generate a wave of applause everywhere.
The set list remained constant except that "Believe" was replaced by "I Want Love" and then eventually "I Want Love" was dropped without "Believe" being re-introduced. The shows approached 3 hours in length.
Next stops are North America in April through to July and then Europe from September until December (8 shows at the London O2) and then the 2 re-scheduled New Zealand shows in 2021.
If anyone goes to upcoming 2020 please add your reviews here. These last legs of the FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD concerts will be the last opportunities to change the set list a bit. It would be nice to see songs that were particularly popular in Europe ("Song For Guy" and "Are You Ready For Love" and "Nikita") to be added to the set lists there.
