Well, here's a thread related to me, and my life etc.. We don't do this sort of thing here anymore. The board seems to have had the wind knocked out of it, a little bit...
I don't have anything in mind to say about myself or my life. But if you want to ask anything or just say hi, have at it... We could use some personal conversation.

Your opinions are always interesting to hear, commodore! To me it looks like you appreciate creativity the most in music. That's where our tastes are somewhat different though. If you want to open up about details in your private life, it is completely allowed here. I'm not sure will I reply but I will certainly read.

Only if it comes out naturally I guess, or if anyone asks something. Thanks!

I finally voted. I had to draw enlarged maps for myself with the exact box location, because daylight jams my brain, and I had to get it right.
I moved from Illinois to Florida 4 1/2 tears ago. My time is divided between bed and the computer. I was in "lockdown" already, owing to light sensitivity and, more recently, erosion in the spine.
I keep making my self indulgent little MS Paint pictures. I've been figuring out how to do shading and color variations, and the figures keep improving.
In connection with my strange old hobby from teenagehood, gas station road map collecting, I've just posted on Pinterest all the photos of gas station signs that I took in the 1970s. Most are obscure brands, and long gone by now.

Good that you voted. You know that Europeans like the democrat nominees? Biden isn't a good candidate but much better than Trump, if I may tell my own opinion.

I guess I'll say this here since few members will see it-- Trump isn't a president, he's a sort of gangster/con man/cult leader. We're tilting toward fascism fast. The world is, we're just getting there faster.

The world is, we're just getting there faster. Yeah, that's a really bad thing. Trump saying he wouldn't accept defeat and trying to discard unfavorable votes are indeed fascism. We need to get that man out of the office fast.

Republicans are almost certainly busy throwing out Dem votes in places where they're in charge... they were caught in Miami. In Los Angeles, they put out on the street, in minority areas that will be voting heavily for Democrats, their OWN illegal voting dropboxes. And when this was discovered and they were told by authorities to remove them, they just refused.
BUL, I know Finland has a very tense and complicated relationship with Russia. I wonder how you've dealt with Putin's... tricks, there. Putin has bought the loyalty of our Republican Party and gets to manipulate minds across the US through the internet, with no resistance or interference. We pay a trillion for military defence, yet leave our front door (internet) unguarded.

We will be doing okay with Russia if we take care of the defense. Allying with NATO members is an option, but people oppose it because that would draw us into a war where we would have been innocent.
Cyber security came into the light about a month ago in a cyber attack where hackers acquired information of a psychiatrist company. I am one of the victims, but so far no-one has reported my information in the net, so I am lucky.

I've been offline a couple times from billing problems relating to dad's death a few months ago. Now my computer has problems and I'm using his though it is hard on eyes, and i can't remember many passwords.
The repair guy insists I have to get Windows 10, which was a joke a few years ago it was considered so bad, with people wanting to know how to remove it from their computers. Then M'soft doubled down, and kept trying to push it on everyone.
It may be better now and most people have it? I'm concerned about whether the accessibility features for eye problems might not be as good. It would be a disaster if I got the computer back from repair and I could never use it again.

I think Windows 10 has some quite good features, but certain things on older versions were better. But I am sure you can learn to use it, some things are cool and some not, but generally I am positive about it.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, commodore! How old was he?

98. Navigator in Army Air Force in WW2...
If W10 hurts eyes more I can't let that happen.

Commodore:
I, too, am very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. His stories, if he shared them, from WW2 must be memorable ones.
My sympathies to you and his family.
Doug
