Hello,
I'm new on here.
The other Elton John forum I visited all that time has dried up to some extent, so thought see who else is around, and where. Might as well post something, so here it is - a work in progress.
The link below is a playlist link to a bunch of Jewel Box fanedits I have made. They're by no means perfect, and as much as possible I've tried to only layer the songs with instruments that don't seem out of place. In any case, had we not been in a pandemic, lockdown (in the UK for me) I may not have even considered doing these. I hope that some of you like them, but even if you don't it would be good to know. Comments, likes and dislikes would be much appreciated. 9 of about 30 Jewel box tracks done so far, after which I shall wonder into a few of the other demos that came out on Elton John and Tumbleweed Connection Duluxe boxes a number of years ago, though there aren't quite so many on those CDs.
Just an Ordinary Man was what got me started - I just loved it, and wondered what it might have been like in the event it was more than a demo, and so with that followed a series of experiments.
Anyway so far, available here are Just and Ordinary Man, A Dandelion Dies in the Wind, Velvet Fountain, A Little Love Goes a Long Way, Open Your Eyes to the Sun, And the Clock Goes Round, The Witch's House, The Flowers will Never Die, and When I was Tealby Abbey. If you look for Mario Marinato, and these song titles you'll see (for Flowers... and Tealby...) he has some different mixes. He did the video's, whereas I meddled with the music.
