Elton does know that HAS TO BE in Madison Square Garden. But a small show in the Trobadour would close the circle...

Stockholm, Sweden!
Guitarist & Musical Director Davey Johnstone was recently asked why Stockholm was chosen to be the last show. His answer was that the pandemic/COVID re-scheduling created the final schedule for them. Re-scheduling must have been a nightmare.
Legendary Elton favourite venues like Madison Square Garden in NYC or Wembley Stadium in London would have made some sense. One last show at The Troubadour Club in Los Angeles might have made sense to a degree but the extravagant staging would have had no chance of fitting into that intimate club!
I was surprised that no guests were brought on stage for the final Stockholm show, not even Bernie Taupin. Also, Elton didn't add that one or two special songs on that last and historic night. Status quo...
