On Billboard's Hot 200, Diamonds is now 72, up from 79. I don't think Revamp and Restoration have been out long enough yet to have been counted. It's funny seeing old albums re-enter the chart. The Essential Billy Joel, for example, is at #118. Just noticed that Diamonds was at #15 on the HitsDailyDouble Building The Album Chart as well. On Amazon Best Seller list, Revamped at #3, Restoration at #4 and 2 CD Diamonds at #10, EJ Greatest Hits #27, Diamonds 3CD set #37, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road at #88. Also on Amazon Rock chart all the above appear as well as Madman, Tumbleweed Connection, Captain Fantastic. Amazon Classic Rock chart, EJ Greatest Hits #1, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road #2, Madman 8, Tumbleweed Connection #10, Captain Fantastic #14, EJ Greatest Hits 1970-2002 #29, EJ Greatest Volume II #36, Honky Chateau #37, Rocket Man: Number Ones #46, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (vinyl) #50, Two Rooms #71, EJ Greatest Hits Volume III #87,

I have not brought the cds yet but on my list. Have heard some of the songs and some are very good. Not easy putting different spins on Ej & Bt songs. Thought lady Gaga Your Song was Great she knocked it out of the park making it more up tempo /rock/pop, I want love by Chris Stapleton was the first one I heard & was very good ,very different from original& country to boot. Miley did a great job on The bitch Is Back, Little big towns Rocket Man was also very good & different spin on the country side I didn't much care for Don't Go Breaking My Heart by Q Tip & Demi, thought the video sucked . Cold Play We All Fall In Love Sometimes was also very good ,Maria lambert My Fathers Gun sounded good on the Tv special; ED sherran Candle In The wind wasn't too bad ,hard to do on gutair. But they didn't include Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me by John Legend which he sang on the special which also was good. Hope they come out on Vinyl .

It seems I made my conclusion too quickly, and accidentally I listened to some of the less successful songs from the set - I mean the REVAMP disc. Here are my 1st listen scores... 1. Bennie And The Jets * 2. We All Fall In Love Sometimes ****½ 3. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues ***** 4. Candle In The Wind *****+ 5. Tiny Dancer *****++ 6. Someone Saved My Life Tonight **** 7. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word *½ 8. Don't Go Breaking My Heart **** 9. Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters ****½ 10. Daniel ***** 11. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me *****+ 12. Your Song ***** 13. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road **** Far from Elton's standard quality, where most of the songs are five star songs. I would personally like to ask from Elton, what does he think of this new version of "Bennie And The Jets" (unless that would make him angry... )

So Revamped debuted on the Top 200 Albums at #13 and Restoration debuted at #36 and Diamonds moved up to #37.
Also Restoration is the #4 Country Album this week. Pretty impressive.

Both of these albums fell completely off the top 200 albums chart this week after only two weeks on the charts. I'm not surprised. I couldn't care less about other artists singing Elton John songs, and apparently they weren't *that* popular with the buying public either.
