4 stars...a good performance, a lot like the One Night Only rendition a quarter-century later, in that it's pretty much the basic song, not much added. Of course, it's a great song and with so many 10-minute renditions out there (most of which are outstanding), sometimes it's nice to hear the 'basic' song performed pretty much as-is.

Not a big fan of this song live. It`s still worthy of a good rating, though. 4 stars.

All 'Rocket Man' versions sung by Elton John gets a 5+ from me. Of course the original and the extended versions get 5++. We always get that same *perfect* melody and his vocals always sound great to me, so there ya have it. My very top favorite song.  |
