Fantastic from the fantastic Captain & the boys! I like this one far more than the studio album. This one rocks, thanks for Davey and his electric guitar.

"Hercules" Live from Hammersmith Odeon 1973 from GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD - 4Oth Anniversary Deluxe Edition:
This live in concert long extended version (9 minutes plus) rocks and shows off Elton's energetic live piano work plus impressive bass from Dee, drums from Nigel and guitar from Davey. This is what Elton's live performances are all about. EJ and the band are at their best when they stretch out songs and keep them vital and exercise their musicianship. Davey's live electric guitar work here shows growth since he laid down the initial guitar for the song during the HONKY CHATEAU sessions. That band cooks on this one.
This live version of "Hercules" can be found on the 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD. It had surfaced previously on bootlegs.
