[Chorus: Elton John & Frances]
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
[Verse 1: Elton John]
How did I get here?
Can't listen to your grip
I'm circling heaven and what a crazy trip
Faster than lightning, straight to the heart
I gotta have you, come as you are
[Chorus: Elton John & Frances]
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
And I hope I never come down, down, down
Down
[Verse 2: Elton John]
Some kind of fusion, my heart and your heart
Romantic illusion, lighting up sparks
It's more than beauty, it's more than life itself
Never been lonely, it's you and no one else
[Chorus: Elton John & Frances]
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
And I hope I nevеr come down, down, down
Down, down, down
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honеy
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey
I'm flying in your orbit, honey

A decent song, one of the worse ones from the album.
4 stars.

Forgettable, but at least Elton is in most of it.

"Orbit" by Elton and S. G. Lewis: from THE LOCKDOWN SESSIONS:
The song was co-written by Elton, Samuel George Lewis, and Sophie Frances Cooke. It is a mid-tempo electronically-infused song. Lewis' production gives it that electronic sheen over a repetitive rhythm and lyric. It is pleasant enough but I kept waiting for the song to go somewhere or introduce new elements, changes, etc. and it didn't. It almost seems more like a demo. I enjoy the slightly ethereal feel of the overall sound of "Orbit" as it slides by smoothly and quickly...
Rating: 3 1/2 stars

4.5 stars...Still my favorite on the album, in part because it's basically a solo effort vocally by Elton. I think this song has potential to be an excellent live song, though Elton didn't include it in his current setlist as the Farewell Tour resumed. I will add that the addition of Cold Heart to the Tour setlist is a nice idea, though dropping Indian Sunset was a bit of a disappointment. Some folks in a Facebook group I'm in were complaining that Daniel was also dropped, but Daniel has been played live a zillion times, and to me, it's no great loss.
