So happy that last Friday in Cork i finally got too see sir Elton live in Concert after the postponements of the last few years due to covid and Eltons injury
Production and stage was outstanding with the sound pitch perfect. The setlist was 90% everything I wanted to hear and is a real greatest hits set. Best performances of the night for me were 'Tiny Dancer', 'Rocketman', 'I'm Still Standing (the video package was great), Crocodile Rock and 'Your song'. 'Cold Heart' was better live then I imagined. Small gripe that 'I Want Love', 'Are you Ready for Love' and 'Daniel' weren't on the setlist but that happens
Was in the Premium Level in section 206 and the view of the stage was great even if it wasn't a centrel view. Lots of merch available and got a shirt and the star glasses
At this moment this will probably be my only time seeing Elton live as I simply can't afford the €196 ticket price for the Arena shows but never know I'll keep an eye out for someone selling a ticket. There were tickets for the Cork gig going for €40-€150 (a pair) on Friday morning on ticket resale fourm 'Toutless.com'
Looking forward too seeing the Disney+ documentary. Hopefully the full concert recording will be released alongside it
BTW any bootlegs around ?

FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD North American Stadium Concerts 2022:
Elton and the band hit the road on the newest leg of the FAREWELL tour in Philadelphia tonight (July 15). The tour goes to baseball and football stadiums across Canada and the US until late November ending up at the famous Dodger Stadium for 3 nights to apparently end Elton's North American performances of the FAREWELL tour. Multiple concerts (2 or 3 nights) are being held in many cities which means crowds of 100 000 to 150 000 or more in certain cities. An overwhelming response, I would think.
We will see if there are any changes to the setlist. No changes came on the most recent stadium tour of the UK and parts of Europe.
Doug
