re: Elton's very last FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD concert:
First of all, I wonder if this tour will end up having music guests join him onstage here & there which tended to happen a lot back in the 80s. Regarding the last show, I can well imagine that there is no better time for Bernie Taupin to join him. Boy, are we getting ahead of ourselves! He hasn't even played one show and...

Eeeek. I never thought of that, Doug. Even though I'm not going to any shows, I still want some recordings, and I don't want to hear a bunch of other people singing. Only extremely rarely maybe. Basically I want this to be all Elton all the time. lol. It would be fantastic if Bernie showed up though. Especially the very last show. And he should.
Congratulations, pianoman109 that you got good tickets. I'm sure you'll have an absolute blast!!!

Congratulations on getting your Ottawa tickets! What was the last Elton concert that you saw? Are you happy with the seat location?

re: FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD:
Not surprisingly, they just announced a 4th Madison Square Garden concert (2 in October and now 2 in November). I can imagine that a couple more announcements regarding additional North American shows could be upcoming.

Thanks dougs!
Last time I saw Elton was February 5th 2015 in Montreal, and I thought that was it ( at least, that's what my wife said!😉). But when the announcement of the Farewell tour was made, we decided to go and take our son and daughter along (they were with us in 2006 when they were 13 and 11). So another Elton John concert for the family 12 years later. Funny thing is that it's my wife that was online to buy the tickets and she got floor seats 😎😁. This will be my 15th concert since the first one in 1980, in Montreal.

BenandtheJets:
You have certainly covered much of Elton's career over the years! I was at the Toronto concert in 1980 (me at Maple Leaf Gardens and you at the Forum, no doubt). My 1st EJ concert was the year before (October 31, 1979 - Halloween!) with Ray Cooper at the small venue O'Keefe Centre in Toronto.
Glad to hear that you and your family scored great seats for the Ottawa concert!
Do you have favourite Elton concerts over the years?

Memorable concerts: I would say they were all memorable, but I would say 3 stand out from the rest.
- 1992: The One Tour (Montréal) with the Versace designed stage ( Elton's piano would move into the crowd or go up and turn ). It was my wife's first EJ concert and she was 6 months pregnant.
-1995: Made In England Tour (Montréal). That's when the late Bob Birch was hit by a car (or truck) crossing the street in downtown Montréal. John Jorgenson had done an excellent job taking over on bass guitar.
-2006: Captain And The Kid Tour: That's the one we took our kids. I remember my daughter, 11 at the time, saying to me with some tears in her eyes; "This is the music I've been listening to, all of my life!" I guess she was right. They got lots of Elton John music at home or in the car because of their father!
The 2 F2F concerts were also pretty special!

FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD concert tickets:
I already have my Toronto tickets but went online this morning at the moment the general public tickets went on sale for the 2nd Toronto show and accessed one very poor ticket. Less than one minute later ALL tickets were gone (for both concerts). Wow. Oddly I also accessed a superb FLOOR seat at Madison Square Garden but can't afford the air fare and hotel...oh well...gave up the ticket...
Hope everyone here who wants to go has managed to grab a ticket. Tickets do pop up on Ticketmaster (at cost) as the concert date approaches so always keep your eyes open for this. I have managed to score excellent seats for big concerts in the past on the day or two before the concert by continuously checking Ticketmaster.

BenandtheJets:
Lots of good memories from your concerts, I bet. Regarding your 1995 Montreal show right after Bob Birch's accident, I had heard about that and was worried not just for Bob but that the concert tour would be cancelled - I had tickets for the next concert in Detroit. In that insanely short time (1 or 2 days) David Paton had been called in to replace Bob on bass and he managed to learn or re-learn all those songs. I was close to the stage and managed to catch David's eye and flashed a "two thumbs up" which means great job in North America! He smiled back. That 1995 tour was great. Maybe the best band EJ has ever assembled; Davey, John Jorgenson, Guy Babylon, Charlie Morgan, Bob or David, and Ray Cooper. Charlie was fantastic on songs like "Simple Life" but Nigel has the knack for the ballads. Like them both. Nice to hear new songs like "Believe" and "Pain" plus "The One" and "Simple Life." I also remember that THE ONE tour in 1992 when Elton's piano moved up and over the audience during "The One." Great show and great looking stage. Elton was back in excellent physical shape at that point.

I know he added a MSG show... is it likely Elton might add more shows? Dougs -- same situation here in Dallas... the second ticket sales opened up, none were available. Scalpers got them all. I don't know anyone who even had a single ticket pop up available to buy. Hearing the same thing from friends in Chicago.

I could not get tickets for anywhere in Pa & NY ,unless ya wanted to spend $300 or more per. I was only a few seconds late to try and get tickets to PP&L arena in Allentown Pa,& never got anything avail. Was late because tried Ticketmaster first, forgot PP&L does there own thing. Tried MSG NY all 4 N/G & Brooklyn NY N/G unless ya wanted to start at $300-!,0000 per. You can get resale tickets on Ticketmaster they were avail before 10am & start at over$300 Not Fair ,that these other ticket outlets have tickets before the Gen public . They buy them all up & sell them double & triple the price.. Was nice in some yrs past you could get EJ tickets but since its his last the Greedy come out of the wood work & us fans can't get anything unless you take out a second mortgage ..
